The Critic: Cold Night

Posting this up here because I posted it on Y!gallery and Tumblr a while ago, and because I didn't want to go a whole month without posting something... I've been very ill as of late

"I've been on a Jay + Jeremy kick so much lately, that I can't really stop myself right now. It's one of those really old pairings that I shipped even before I knew what the term "shipping" was. I use to watch The Critic when there were reruns in the 90's and I loved it! I also loved Jay and Jeremy's interactions, but couldn't really place why. Then, when Reelz Channel started showing reruns of it a few years ago, I rewatched the show and realized, "Holy $#!+, I ship Jay and Jeremy! I ship them A LOT."

I didn't think about this too much until I started to rewatch the show again on my laptop a couple a of weeks ago, when I got really sick.

I tried watching it with my "non-slash" goggles on, I really did, but then I noticed that Jeremy kept calling Jay all these Yiddish nicknames and endearments-- at one point he calls him "sweetheart"... However, I was totally willing to let that pass. Then, I watched the episode where Olivia, Jeremy's twin sister, moves to New York and starts dating Jay. Jeremy's response at one point is that Jay only sees Olivia as a substitute for his homosexual attraction to him.

Oh yeah, and he tells Jay he loves him... twice.

Yeah, so I just lost it after that and went on an epic drawing spree. This is one out of many pics I drew of them...

They're just so cute together and I love 'em both! Plus, their height difference... gah! "

By the way, I feel like it's worth mentioning that I LOVE Jay/Alice and I'm one of the many fans who were upset with the webisodes for breaking them up and putting Jay with some random blonde chick that no one cares about. However, I love Jeremy/Jay a lot too... So deal with it.
